On the big screen, flight attendants live a life of luxury. But in real life, some say that glamor flies right out the window. Flight attendants across the country are posting tours of their poor living conditions. They call them ‘crash pads,’ where, on a rotating basis, they may be crammed into a single housing unit with many other on-call airline workers. At just a couple hundred dollars a month, it’s often the only affordable option.
