Little Bird Hops on Turkish Rescue Worker

Days after the catastrophic earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, one rescue worker found a new friend in the rubble. It’s a little yellow bird – a budgerigar, or budgie. A Turkish disaster agency volunteer named Nevzat told reporters he was doing search and rescue work, when suddenly the bird jumped on him. The little budgie was exhausted – as well it should be. It had survived five days in the wreckage of its former home.
