What Inside Edition Found in an Empty Home in Iraq

November 9, 2019

In March 2003, the United States went to war in Iraq and accused dictator Saddam Hussein of hiding weapons of mass destruction. As the fighting began, Hussein went into hiding, and Inside Edition went to Baghdad and saw what was going on in the Iraqi capitol. We met with military personnel about the Iraqi dictator's whereabouts. During one instance, reporter Paul Boyd and Marine Master Sgt. Greg Carroll toured a home where they found hidden torture chambers and instruments of pain that disgusted those who discovered it. Hussein was eventually captured in December 2003; he was later tried and put to death in December 2006 in Baghdad.
