'Base Line Challenge' Becomes Latest Dancing Craze After BTS' J-Hope Does the 'Shiggy'
The new viral dance trend is one of many hitting social media this summer.
Move over Drake and Ciara fans — the BTS Army is introducing its own dance challenge.
#TheBaseLineChallenge, inspired by the song “Base Line” by BTS’ J-Hope, is going viral, with fans in Korea and beyond filming their own version of the choreography and posting it online.
The creator of the new challenge, 18-year-old Albanie Brown, told InsideEdition.com she was inspired to come up their own trend after rapper J-Hope went viral for doing the "Shiggy Challenge," based off Drake’s song, "In My Feelings."
"I thought, 'It would be cute if we started one just for him!' she said.
It immediately took hold among the dedicated fan base.
"I didn’t expect this much attention on my challenge at all!" Brown, from New Jersey, added. "I made this out of fun and so many people just hopped on it. It even trended worldwide and BTS liked my video on their official Twitter! I’m still in shock and I’m glad people of all ages joined in on dancing as well."
Meanwhile, Ciara's "Level Up Challenge," has the singer coaxing her fans to not only post a video of themselves performing the dance, but also list ways they plan to “level up” their lives – whether it is by going back to school or simply keeping a positive attitude.
