HOA Votes Woman Out Of 55+ Community For Being Too Young After Inheriting Home

A Florida village of 155 homes was built for people who are at least 55 years old. Now, some residents want one woman out, saying she is too young to live there. Bethany Michel's father, Paul, bought a home in Freedom at Arbor Mill in Jacksonville, Florida in 2019. She moved in to care for the ailing vet when he took a turn for the worse. Her father died in 2023 and in his will, he bequeathed her the house. The homeowners association voted unanimously that the 28-year-old daughter has to go.
