Alligator Attacks Sheriff's Drone

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says their department’s marine unit recently performed a training exercise in Fort Myers. It involved launching an underwater drone. An alligator spotted the bright yellow drone and must have seen it as a threat, or a snack. The long reptile attacked the unknown object floating in its home. Deputies said in a Facebook post, the “insta-gator latched on” to the equipment.
