It was located in General Santos, the region worst hit by the natural disaster. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit early Monday morning. Experts say it was one of the strongest quakes to hit the country in 50 years. Dozens of people have been reported dead, over 400 have been injured, and several are still missing.
