    Elderly Couple Found Dead Were Victims To Scam By Tom Selleck Impersonator: Cops

    An elderly couple fell victim to a Tom Selleck imposter. Karen and Donald Whitaker were found dead in their Palm Springs home in what police say appeared to be a murder-suicide triggered by the realization that they had lost a chunk of their life savings to a person who impersonated actor Tom Selleck. Karen, 79, sent money to the online scammer who was posing as the "Magnum PI" and "Blue Bloods" star. Inside Edition's Jim Moret spoke to the couples' friend Joy Miedecke.
