New details of the brawl involving Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during his college days have come to surface. It happened after Kavanaugh attended a concert by the group UB40 in September 1985 in New Haven, Connecticut, where his college, Yale University, is located. A store now stands where a bar called Demery's once existed. It was a favorite haunt of Yale students. Kavanaugh was out with a group of friends after a concert when they got into an altercation with another man in the bar.
