This year has given us plenty of heart-stopping moments. Heroes emerged in 2021, including a pastor who tackled a gunman in a Tennessee church and a child who escaped an alleged kidnapper in Florida. Animals also attacked with ferocity, like an alligator that took a bite out of a trainer in Utah and a bobcat that pounced on a North Carolina couple in their driveway.
