How to Keep Children and Pets Safe From Toxocara Parasite

A recent study done in New York determined how safe parks and play areas are for kids who come in contact with pets. Researchers determined that Toxocara, a parasite that lives in animals, was present at parks in all five of the city’s boroughs. According to Dr. Donna Tyungu, it’s something parents and animal owners should be aware, but not afraid of. She shared details with Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.
